Letters to Silas Hervey Mead, senior deacon and treasurer of the North Greenwich Congregational Church in Connecticut, from Reverend Horton Owen Knapp, his wife Charlotte Close Knapp Dole and Amos Cooke who were serving as missionaries in Hawaii. Reverend Knapp's letters are long and contain daily entries, much like a diary.
